Dan is a registered US Patent Attorney with more than 40 years of experience in intellectual property protection and IP-driven transactions. He has served as Principal of a leading Singapore IP firm, Lecturer in postgraduate business studies at the Singapore University of Social Sciences, and is currently an Adjunct Fellow and Instructor at the IP Academy (Singapore). Dan also sits as Director of a Silicon Valley IP advisory firm that supports technology companies and institutional investors in buying, selling, and investing in IP, and he serves on the Advisory Board of Flexxon Pte Ltd, a cyber-secure flash memory manufacturer.

Dan has also consulted for A*STAR, Singapore’s lead government R&D agency, on technology commercialisation, and has been appointed by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to mentor Southeast Asian start-ups. He has lectured on IP strategy in Australia, England, Singapore, India, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the US, and has been recognised in IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists (2021–2024).
